CANDLE CARE 101

How we care for our candles is important to get the the most out of each and every burn. Below is everything you need to know to educate your customers on how to care for their candles from The Scented Market.

1

TRIM THE WICK

It is important to trim the wick to 1/4" before the first burn and to trim under the "bud" after each additional burn. This will keep your customers candles from creating soot.

2

THE FIRST BURN

Did you know that our soy wax has a memory? We recommend allowing our candles to burn until an even layer of melted wax forms across the entire top of the candle. This creates a memory in the wax, reminding it to always burn out to the edges. This results in nice, even melts each time it is enjoyed.

3

CANDLE SAFETY

Our candles could potentially pose a fire hazard and should never be left unattended. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Customers should ensure that their candles are burning on a flat, even surface.

4

CANDLE STORAGE

Candles should be stored out of direct sunlight in a dark & dry spot to preserve the longevity of the scent throw and the visual appeal of our candles.
